Please let me introduce myself. My name is Jeanan Herman. I am the third grade teacher for Holy Name Catholic School and this is my second year at this wonderful institution. I have been a teacher for five years: my first three years teaching were at Wyola School in Wyola, Montana. I received my Literacy Endorsement in reading and writing instruction through the University of Wyoming in the summer of 2008. I am currently working towards my Masters in Education in Curriculum and Instruction.

The third grade year is an important year where skills such as multiplication, division, and cursive handwriting are begun. My students also learn how to write a personal letter and explore expository and narrative writing. This year we will also explore the Solar System and the planets that are our neighbors in the Milky Way Galaxy, investigate biomes and simple machines, and learn about the Sheridan community and its history. We also expand our Faith by learning many things about God.

I grew up in Sheridan and now reside here with my husband Hans, and my three children: Juliana 21, Christina 10, and Harrison 7. We enjoy camping, fishing, four wheeling, and motorcycle riding together as a family. Thank you for the warm welcome!
