 My name is Loretta Tonak. I am the music teacher here at Holy Name Catholic School. I teach general music to all grades Pre-K through 6, beginning and advanced band classes, two upper school choirs, and lead music at weekly Masses. This is my third year teaching at Holy Name and I love it!! I've taught music for 34 years in various public schools in South Dakota and Wyoming. Most recently I was the Jr. High band director for Sheridan School District #2 for 11 years.I have 3 grown children. Ben is married and works for the University of Wyoming in Laramie. He and his wife, Anne, have my grandson, Brenden, who is 7. Beckie, my daughter, works here in Sheridan at Northern Wyoming Mental Health as an early intervention specialist. She just got married on July 18. Her husband, Lekan, is a pharmacist at the Sheridan Hospital. Tim, my youngest son, lives in Denver and works for UPS and has his own gutter installation business. I also have a couple other part time jobs besides teaching at Holy Name. You might see me at Starbucks in the drive up window or at Sheridan College playing piano for the choir and voice classes and teaching class piano. Variety is the spice of life, I guess. |
