Dear Holy Name Families,

It's hard to believe but it's that time of the year again - the beginning of a new school year.  I hope you had a wonderful summer break filled with relaxation and renewal.  Our school continues to be one of the most highly regarded learning communities in Wyoming, and this year we will continue to build on this success.

Outstanding family involvement is such an important component to academic, social, and spiritual growth and has been instrumental in creating success at Holy Name Catholic School.  I am looking forward to this continuing friendship and collaboration, as well as welcoming new families into our community.

Holy Name has an exceptional community filled with committed teachers, staff, and stakeholders.  We have worked throughout the summer with upgrading at both campuses, assessing students’ academic needs, and creating systems that ensure greater accountability for academic excellence.

Upgraded Technology.

A new server and 28 new computers have been added.  This creates two new computer labs and four extra computers to be used in classrooms.

Buildings Maintenance. 

Refurbished gym floor and added a bench for the playground.

                                                Aligned Language Arts Curriculum.

  Started a textbook audit and evaluation of WY state skills.  Collaboration with staff to align curriculum and create scope and sequence.

HNCS Strategic Plan.

The staff, Holy Name Advisory Board, Councils, and Trustees have been working to create the HNCS Strategic Plan.  This plan guides the school in effective campus improvement planning for establishing a school of excellence both in academic programs and performance, as well as in financial and facility planning and operations.

Effective Evaluation Tool. 

Discussions started with Advisory Board to create an evaluation tool.

In addition, we are proud to introduce Miss Debbie Paullin as our new language arts teacher for grades 5-8.  She comes to us with a passion for children and great knowledge in language arts curriculum.

It is an exhilarating time at Holy Name Catholic School.  Our improved use and integration of technology, Focused Action Plans for students, expanded and aligned language arts curriculum, and the goals of the Advisory Board are just a few examples of our recent endeavors moving Holy Name Catholic School to the next level of excellence.
