Dear Parents: Spring Program: The Spring Program is set for Thursday, May 20 at 7 p.m. in the HNCS gym. Students should NOT wear dress clothes for this event, as they will be sitting on the floor and moving around quite a bit. Students are welcome to wear a non-dressy outfit that meets the dress code requirements stated in the HNCS parent-student handbook. This will be a fun evening! Hawaiian/Beach Day: Next Tuesday, May 11 is Hawaiian/Beach Day at HNCS. Students are invited to wear Hawaiian and/or beach attire as long as the HNCS dress code is followed. Remember, spaghetti straps, and shorts above mid-thigh are not permitted, and midriffs must be covered. If you have a question about whether or not something is appropriate, please ask Ms. Model. Last Call for PIP Sheets! Be sure to get your PIP sheets turned in ASAP so that your hours can be tallied. Balance statements, including amounts owed for hours not worked, will be sent home with the next newsletter. Extra PIP calendars are available in the school office. Please contact Carol Craig at 752-4314 or the school office with any questions. Can & Spirit Day: Don't forget! Monday is Can & Spirit Day. Please bring your aluminum cans for recycling. Preschool Openings: Holy Name Preschool has openings for summer care. Join us for exciting activities in a safe, loving environment. Call Lori at 674-7009 or stop by the preschool to register. Lunch Reminder: You are more than welcome to come eat hot lunch with your student(s) in the cafeteria, but if you are planning to do so, please be sure to call the school office in advance so that we may plan ahead to have enough food. As we move toward the end of the school year, we need to provide the cafeteria with an accurate lunch count. Thank you very much! Million Child Challenge: Today the Bank of Sheridan accepted the American Bankers Association's call for bankers to join the Million Child Challenge and is set to reach HNCS 2nd and 3rd grade students with a Teach Childen to Save lesson. The Bank of Sheridan will use this opportunity to share with young people the difference between needs and wants, ways to identify expenses and how priorities can influence spending. Lessons learned will help to build a generation of saving consumers. The Bank of Sheridan will provide a pizza lunch and "Teach Children to Save" lesson as well as information for parents. Rummage Sale Donations: The rummage sale to benefit the HNCS children/families going to Washington D.C. is next Saturday, May 15. If you have items to donate to the sale, please call Rene Botten at (307) 751-3182 or Botten Law Office at (307) 674-7766. The Botten's will pick up and store the items. If you have nothing to donate, be sure to stop by the sale and see if there is anything you need or want. Wearing Shorts: Please remember: students may wear shorts for the remainder of the year EXCEPT on Friday's when we attend Mass. Lost and Found Table: The lost and found table is still up in the school lobby. Please be sure to stop by and claim your lost items. Any unclaimed items will be donated to the Thrift Store.
