Dear Parents:

Food Drive Mass: We are doing a Food Drive Mass, in lieu of Cookie Mass, for Lent this month. The Food Drive Mass is tomorrow at 8:20 a.m. Students are asked to please bring 1 non-perishable food item to Mass. Food collected will be given to members of our community in need.

Basketball Tournament: The boy's basketball District Tournament is on Saturday at the HNCS gym. Admission to this event is $5 for adults and $3 for children for the entire day. Each school take their turn hosting a tournament, and this time it is our turn. Admission fees are collected to help pay tournament expenses.

PTO Family Movie: The PTO family movie night is tomorrow, in the HNCS gym at 7 p.m. The movie is "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs." Everyone is invited to attend this free event. Families are invited to bring lawn chairs, sleeping bags, and blankets to get comfortable while enjoying the movie.

Talk on Vocations: Father Ray Rodriguez will be coming to speak at all the Masses this weekend. He will be talking about vocations and would like to visit with our youth. HNCS students are invited to join the parish youth after the 5:30 Mass in the Parish Hall for an ice cream social. Fr. Ray will have a little presentation for them while they enjoy some ice cream.

Fish Fry: The Knights of Columbus are hosting a Friday Lenten Fish Fry on March 5. Serving is from 5 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $5.00 for children, $9.00 for adults and can be purchased in the school office. Proceeds will benefit Holy Name Catholic School.

Raffle Winners: Congratulations to the winners of the Holy Name Catholic School Washington D.C. Trip Raffle! The winners include: the Botten family, Jenn Painter, Katie Schaefer, Janet Berry, Virginia Baum, and Catherine Wright. Each of the winners received a homemade quilt. Thank you very much for your participation and support!

Registration for 2010-2011: Early registration for the 2010-2011 school year will be open on March 1. Current HNCS families, Holy Name Parish families, and students attending the Holy Name Preschool may register. Registration will be open to the general public beginning March 15.

Mayfest 2010: Calling all volunteers!!! A sign-up sheet is attached to today's newsletter. Please sign-up to help with HNCS's biggest fundraiser. Forms are due back in the office by Wednesday, March 3. This is a great way to earn PIP hours. Thank you!
